3 Year Check Up

Audrey (appearing as Tinkerbell in this post) had her 3 year check up this week. I can't believe how big she is getting. I knew she has to have gone through a major growth spurt lately because she is hulking out of all of her clothing. I wish she would not do that in the middle of the season! I sent her to pre-school in a mini dress this week. Who knew a human could grow so fast. Anyway, Tinkerbell did great at her appointment and stands tall at 39 inches and weighs in at 35 pounds. She's at the top of the growth chart for height and near the top for weight. I think we can safely say she did not get her height from Mama.

Occupations

Audrey has recently decided on some things she wants to be when she grows up. Her very first response when first asked "what do you want to be when you grow up? was "a big Audrey." (Duh) Since then she has decided she wants to be a teacher (but only the teacher from one of her books). More recently she told her Daddy that she wanted to be the "french fry maker girl" or maybe the "chicken nugget girl", and then definitely decided on the "french fry maker girl" as her current occupation of choice. At least she would have Sundays off.
Here is a picture of Audrey relaxing with a belly full of french fries and chicken nuggets at her favorite restaurant and possible future employer.

Thankful

We have so much to be thankful for, and it's a shame that we don't celebrate them all every single day. This Thanksgiving was spent in SC with Audrey's Yaya, Pop, and "cousin" Heidi. We really had a great time relaxing, enjoying each others company and eating, eating, eating. The weather was beautiful for the most part and Audrey got to show off her bike riding skills to Pop and Yaya. She also formed a deep bond with Heidi as a result of Heidi's book reading skills, My Little Pony hair braiding skills, her laptop full of Disney music, and of course her Rapunzel-esque hair! So much so that Audrey asked us to fire her babysitter and to have Heidi be our new babysitter. We'd love nothing more- but it would be a bit of a drive!
Here are a few pictures from the weekend. I was not the best at taking photos this weekend, but there were a few captured to document the weekend.
Love and thanks to all our family and friends for being you.

Baby Quinn

Audrey and I recently had the pelasure of visiting a new and adorable addition to this world; baby Quinn. This was the first time Audrey has actually been able to hold a baby instead of just being able to touch the feet and head. She was very excited to share in this excitement with Quinn's big sister, Rory. Here's a picture of the two of them marvelling at this new and precious life.

We hope everyone has a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

Tea Time

Audrey and I had the pleasure of attending a lovely tea party today for one of her friend's birthday. It was very exciting for Audrey since she has recently been having daily tea parties with her stuffed friends, to have tea with live bodies.

Pouring her umpteenth cup of tea...
Blowing on a pinwheel...That cupcake didn't even see it coming...
The Birthday Girl helping herself to some tasty treats...

Self Portraits

Just goofing around with Audrey this morning and we snapped a few self portraits. She is such a camera ham. (Looking at herself in the view finder in the second pic)
Here's another one of her a few minutes before. She likes to change clothes for every story we read lately....i.e. Cinderella dress for Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty dress for Sleeping Beauty- you get the idea.

I'm not sure....

...how Audrey achieved this sleeping position. I'm thinking she woke up and tried to get out of bed for some reason. Just an hour earlier she was tucked in snugly on the opposite side of the bed. It's funny no matter what the reason, in my opinion.
Side note: She has never fallen out of bed.

Alien Baby

Here's the latest picture of our growing baby. We had to go in for some additional appointments, but the upside is we got extra pictures. Looking a little on the thin side these days, but chilling with the arms behind the head.

More Birthday Pics

Here are a few really cute birthday party pictures compliments of my friend Connie. Thanks Connie!

Make a wish....

This cracks me up. I guess she is reminiscing about her 1st birthday.

Arts and Crafts Day

This morning seemed way to early and cold so we decided to stay in a while and do some arts and crafts. Audrey painted a birdhouse and we also did some sponge painting. Later we also made it out of the house to a pottery painting place. When I told Audrey we were going to paint pottery she was really excited and asked where the Harry Potter place was- I can't wait to see Harry Potter.

Put me in coach

Yesterday Audrey went to watch Daddy's hockey game since it was in the afternoon instead of at 10:30 at night like they usually are. To prepare for the event Audrey got out her hockey gear and practiced her skills with a tennis ball in the driveway with Daddy for awhile. I think she's got potential!

Birthday Part II

Here are some pictures of Audrey opening gifts from her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, on the evening of her birthday.

Pony up...

Audrey had her birthday party this past Saturday and she had an absolute blast! She has been asking to ride horses a lot since we pass by them so frequently, and thankfully we were able to oblige her for her birthday. We had a great crowd of 2 and 3 year olds to share in the fun. They got to ride the pony express, the actual pony (Lucy) and go on a hayride. Audrey even got to see a giant pig named Sara on a trip to the barn with the party hostess. She even offered the pig a cupcake. And they say per schoolers don't like to share. Anyway, we had a wonderful time and are thankful for the people who drove from near and far to share the day with Audrey and her 'rents.Getting ready to ride on Lucy the pony.

Feeding Lucy one of what may have been 100 baby carrots.

Enjoying a cupcake.

The birthday gang on the hayride.

Woo hoo. Having a great time on the hayride.

Trick Or Treat

Halloween was busy this year! Audrey's social calendar was rather full and I am pleased to say that we got our money's worth out of that mermaid costume! Last year Audrey only hit about 3 houses trick or treating, and this year we were able to make it a bit farther. We went with William the Bumblebee and managed to beg for candy for about 45 minutes. Audrey really got into the whole ring the doorbell = give me candy thing and enjoyed every bit of it. I had ration the candy to prevent a sugar coma though. Here are some highlights of the evening.
