It's A.....

Boy or a girl for sure. We had an ultrasound today and the baby is perfect. A whopping 8 ounces so far and HR was 155 BPM. It is very wiggly and likes to kick. We have another ultrasound in 8 weeks and are looking forward to that. The ultrasound tech did not even look to see the gender, so don't bother calling my OB and bribing them for the info.

Pumpkin treats!

I am doing the Harvest Party at Audrey's preschool tomorrow and that requires a Halloween treat. I decided to test my creativity and make Rice Krispy treat jack-o-lanterns. Audrey thinks they are pretty cute, and I must agree. Not exactly Martha Stewart style, but they'll do.

Acrobatic Audrey!

Audrey has been going to gymnastics classes since the beginning of summer. She loves it! It's a great way to burn off some energy and learn some coordination. One thing that has been confirmed by gymnastics class is that Audrey has no fear! She puts about 200% into each and every move!

Spooktacular Party!

Audrey went to her first costume party ever today. She was very excited to finally be able to wear her Ariel costume- wig and all. The party was great! Lots of games and activities and even more food and treats than any of us had imagined. Ariel had a wonderful time- pass the pumpkin, pin the nose on the pumpkin, jack-o-lantern sack races, and candy, candy, even more candy! She was exhausted, as you can see by the last photo. Thanks to the Fergusons for a great time!!!

Three Little Pumpkins

Today was such a beautiful day we just had to carve our pumpkins- even if it is 2 weeks before Halloween and they might be decayed by the 31st.... Tell that to a 3 year old! Audrey picked out all of the pumpkins and there is a Mommy pumpkin, Daddy pumpkin, and an Audrey pumpkin. Pumpkin carving requires skill, patience, and creativity. None of which I possess in this context. Anyway, here's the finished product.....

Haloween is on its way...

As Halloween quickly approaches and the costume party invitations come in the mail, we are getting very excited about Halloween. Audrey has had her costume picked out for quite some time, and she wants to wear it every day (if I would let her). In honor of the upcoming holiday, here are some pictures of Halloweens past. (Only 2 so far)

Pumpkin Patch!

It's that time of year, and pumpkins are all around. Who can resist a trip to the pumpkin patch, especially with this amazing weather!! Audrey and some friends went on a hayride to the petting zoo and the pumpkin patch today and had a heck of a good time. There were lots of cute little farm animals to look at and feed, and let's not forget the pumpkins- acres of them! This week we will be carving and/or decorating our chosen two.

Party Like a Rock Star!

Or, like a toddler pretending to be a rock star, anyway. We had the pleasure of attending Seth and Liam's 3rd birthday party this weekend (more cake) and were treated to a grand show by Big Bang Boom. As you can see, there was a lot to do, and the great music really got things going. It may be difficult for you to tell what Audrey's favorite thing at the party was just by looking at the pictures....Happy Birthday Seth and Liam! We had a rockin' good time!!

The birthday boys getting ready to rock out!

I can play it on the deck....
I can play it on the swing....
I can play it on the slide....
I can play it in a line....
I can play it anywhere!!!

Grandma came to town

Grandma was able to come for a visit this past week, and although we missed Papa very much, we had a great time with Grandma! It was her birthday while she was here, so we made her cupcakes! Mmm. Audrey's favorite!! Grandma also made Audrey a Buzzy-buzzy Bee blanket to take the place of Bumblebee (may he rest in peace wherever he is). A good time was had by all and we look forward to when we can see Grandma and Papa together.

Finally!!!

Goofing Around

Since we don't have many little kids in the neighborhood yet, Audrey spends a lot of time with her "big babies." This one is Cybil, Betsy, or Sarah, depending on what day you ask her. She is quite a big girl and is a few inches taller than Audrey. She's quiet and well behaved though and doesn't eat much, so I let her hand around.

A visit from Aunt Kady

We've had a lot of adventures lately. We've been here and there, and have had the pleasure of having visitors here too! This weekend Aunt Kady (who "has hair just like Ariel")was able to come for a visit. Audrey had a great time showing her all of her princesses. We also went mini golfing and had some other fun adventures.
